Reflexology is based on the principle that reflex points on the soles, tops, and sides of the feet correspond to different areas of the body. In this way, the feet can be seen as a ‘map’ of the body.
By applying specialised massage techniques to specific reflex points – using the fingers and knuckles – including a caterpillar-like movement called ‘thumb walking’. The areas treated and pressure applied will be adapted to suit your individual needs.
The overall aim of a reflexology treatment is to help restore balance to the body naturally and improve the client’s general well-being.
The Ultimate Relaxation
Reflexology is Amanda’s favourite holistic treatment, in fact, it was the second therapy she learned all those years ago.
In her personal option, it’s the ultimate relaxation and healing therapy. But don’t take her word for it why not come and try for yourself?
Amanda may also work reflex points on the hands, ears and face, however, normally it is the feet that are most commonly treated in reflexology.
At Sawtry beauty clinic we do not claim to cure, diagnose or treat any medical condition, nor do we recommend discontinuing any current medical treatment or advice.
Amanda always recommends that a GP or other qualified medical professional is always consulted about any health concern, issue or question. On occasion, Amanda may request permission to write to your GP to ensure that our treatments are safe and appropriate for you.
A reaction is triggered in the body.
May help facilitate healing and balance.
